A project done during the Spring of 2007 in conjunction with General Motors. The basis of the project was to redesign an interior control system to better speak to the qualities of the the vehicle's brand. Assigned the Cadillac CTS and the windshield wiper control system, I went to work creating a system that would be a cohesive part of the vehicle as a whole.
The project involved researching the brand image of Cadillac, the form language of the vehicle and the human factors elements of the control systems. The deliverable for the project was a series of presentation boards as well as a haptic model of the redesigned system. In addition I wrote and presented a detailed human factors paper on the same subject of a slightly more accessible GM model for a concurrent human factors class.
