Intrigued by the surprising strength and comfort of solid wood that I had discovered during the process of designing the Cant Chair, I decided to push the material even farther. This time exploring both material and process, I began bending my slats with steam. The result was the Slip Stool. An experimental piece that more deeply explored the qualities of liveliness, responsiveness, and trust in a furniture.
